Upgrade Innolab, in collaboration with AgiLab TBI of the University of Southeastern Philippines, successfully held a three-day Technology and Business Incubator (TBI) Management Workshop from August 4 to 6, 2025. The event brought together TBI representatives from various state universities and colleges across the region, including Kalinga State University, Davao del Sur State College, Davao del Norte State College, and the host institution.

The workshop focused on equipping participants with tools and strategies to better harness their institutional resources and strengthen innovation ecosystems within their home organizations.
Over the course of the program, participants engaged in sessions on:
- Defining their standout factor through a Value Proposition Workshop
- Designing fundraising and growth strategies tailored for incubators
- Improving portfolio management and pipeline generation
- Building a cohesive brand architecture
- Strengthening stakeholder engagement and management
A recurring theme throughout the sessions was the importance of collaboration. One key takeaway emphasized that fostering an inclusive and enabling environment for entrepreneurship requires participatory approaches across sectors and institutions.
Participants also learned how a clear value proposition can position their TBI for long-term success and how strategic partnerships and revenue-generating activities can support incubator sustainability.
“I learned so much about how a TBI works,” said Dexter Honorio, a Project Technical Assistant from Davao del Norte State College. “The sessions helped me understand how we can maximize what we already have and grow from there.”
This TBI workshop is part of the broader capacity-building initiatives of Upgrade Education PH, the education and training arm of Upgrade Innolab PH.
